The hotel was homey and fairly clean, its location was unbeatable close to everything, exceptional service. The room was compact, spotless with a bath in, fresh towels, for instance, I was pleased. Location: the venue was just off the shops, the beach, and Scarborough.

The beds are exceptionally comfortable to sleep on. The best thing is location - not far from shops as well as restaurants. The staff are polite and provide an excellent service.

I like everything about the Riviera we have stayed twice before .. I have nothing wrong to say except it is starting to look a bit tired .. Decorating and furniture a bit tatty .. But overall we love it

Wonderful breakfasts with top-class ingredients, including a vegetarian option and lovely yogurt. Magnificent and unbeatable location, just a short walk from a lively beach.

Breakfast was very good- very attentive staff.
Room decor, basic bathroom, thin walls - (could hear neighbours) landing door banging every time somebody came up or down stairs, lack of wifi in rooms, creaking floorboards meaning the bed actually moved when people came in next door.
